Ok.. enough with my amateur attempt at poetry but what I really want to say is that we were invited by our friends to spend the weekend at this marvelous bay with its numerous hidden beaches. The water was crystal clear and different than Italy, they were almost all public, meaning free! The beachfront shops and restaurants are VERY expensive but it makes you really feel like you are on vacay even if it is just a weekend get-a-way!

Anyway, I am going to leave you with a video showing our “follow the sun beach” itinerary!
Don’t forget that just down the road, is the bigger city of Nice where you can find better prices, music on the beach and nightlife. Also nearby on the Italy side of Villefranche is the medieval city of E’ze where you can walk up steep streets in the labyrinth of the stone walls.

Eze and Nice |
Beautiful photos — reminds me of the Adriatic Sea where I was only recently. What a getaway weekend this must have been.
"WHEN Zarathustra was thirty years old, he left his home and the lake of his home, and went into the mountains. There he enjoyed his spirit and his solitude, and for ten years did not weary of it. But at last his heart changed,- and rising one morning with the rosy dawn, he went before the sun, and spake thus unto it…"
Friedrich Nietzsche inspired in Eze.
